Tari Eason Files A Restraining Order Against His Ex-Girlfriend

Houston Rockets forward Tari Eason reportedly filed for a restraining order against his ex, Marilyn Maritza Melo Rodriguez, claiming she physically assaulted him and completely trashed his stuff.

According to court docs, Eason says things got violent when his ex repeatedly punched him right in the face with a closed fist during an argument. To make matters worse, he claims she allegedly went to his temporary Airbnb residence and destroyed roughly $92,000 worth of his clothes and personal belongings after pouring bleach on them.

But that’s not all; Eason claims one of Rodriguez’s friends called him to “tell him that she would ‘break both of my legs’ and ‘kill me,'” which he said left him fearing for his life.

The 25-year-old NBA player is now asking the court for legal protection, seeking a restraining order to prevent any further contact or alleged harassment. He wants her away from him, his home, workplace, vehicle, and any California arena where the Rockets play.

As of now, the allegations have not been proven in court, and Eason’s ex-girlfriend has not publicly responded.

The case is still playing out, so it’s left to the court to examine the receipts from both sides before making a final call on the restraining order.
