Disney’s ‘ZOMBIES’ Star Carla Jeffery Dies At 33
Disney fans are mourning the loss of Carla Jeffery, the Disney star many will remember as Bree from the ZOMBIES franchise.
Jeffery passed away on September 1, 2026. Her death was confirmed by Alexander’s Talent Management, an agency that represented her since she was 12. Her cause of death has not been publicly announced.
For a lot of people, Carla wasn’t just another actress. She was part of their childhood.
Jeffery played Bree, Addison’s best friend and one of the cheerleaders in Disney’s ZOMBIES. She appeared in the original 2018 movie and returned for ZOMBIES 2 and ZOMBIES 3. She also voiced Bree in ZOMBIES: The Re-Animated Series.
But her career started long before ZOMBIES.
Carla began acting professionally at 12 and made her film debut in Phat Girlz, playing a younger version of Mo’Nique’s character.
She later appeared in shows including Curb Your Enthusiasm, Shake It Up, Good Luck Charlie, Scream Queens, American Vandal, and iCarly.
Her talent agency shared an emotional tribute following the news, remembering Carla, 33, as someone whose smile could light up a room.
They also pointed out that after working with her for more than two decades, she had become family to them.
It’s a reminder that behind the characters we watch on our screens are real people with families, friends, dreams, and lives outside of Hollywood.
Right now, her loved ones are grieving, and many fans are also realizing that someone they grew up watching is gone far too soon.
For now, we can remember Carla for the joy she brought to the screen and the memories she left with the people who watched her work.
