R&B Singer Keke Wyatt Reportedly Arrested In Georgia

Keke Wyatt is making headlines after the R&B singer was arrested in Georgia, but confusion already surrounds the reported charges.

Wyatt, whose legal name is Ketara Wyatt Darring, was booked into the Henry County Jail on September 20. Early reports listed several charges, including aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, and third-degree cruelty to children.

However, Wyatt’s team now says those reports don’t tell the full story.

In a statement shared on Wyatt’s Instagram, her representatives said she was not charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, or cruelty to children. They say the court documentation shows one charge of simple assault.

Her team also pushed back on reports involving children, saying they were concerned about allegations circulating online that they say aren’t reflected in the court documents.

Wyatt was released from jail on September 22 after posting a $1,050 bond.

As of now, more details about what led to the arrest have not been made public. Wyatt’s team says she plans to let the legal process play out while asking that the situation be reported accurately.

So while the arrest itself has been confirmed, the specific charges being reported have become a point of disagreement, with Wyatt’s representatives saying the court record reflects simple assault.

We’ll have to wait for more information as the case moves forward.
