Meagan Good Opens Up About Being Angry With God After Divorce

Meagan Good is opening up about one of the most difficult seasons of her life, revealing that she struggled with her faith following the end of her marriage to DeVon Franklin.

During a recent appearance on ‘The InnerMission Podcast with Danielle Brooks’, the actress admitted she felt angry and confused after her marriage came to an end. Good said she questioned why God would allow the relationship to end after believing He had led her to marry Franklin.

“At the time, I was so mad at God, and I was so confused,” Good recalled. She explained that one of her greatest fears had always been getting divorced after 10 years, just as her parents had, making the experience especially painful.

Despite the heartbreak, Good said time, therapy and healing helped change her perspective. Looking back, she now considers the divorce “the biggest blessing” for both herself and Franklin, believing they each received what they were meant to from the relationship before moving forward with their lives.

Good and Franklin announced their separation in December 2021 after nearly 10 years of marriage. Since then, both have moved forward personally and professionally, with Good marrying actor Jonathan Majors in 2025. Her latest comments offer a candid look at the emotional and spiritual challenges she faced during one of the most difficult seasons of her life.
