Pastor and theologian Voddie Baucham has died after suffering an ’emergency medical incident’.

On Thursday afternoon, in a heartfelt social media post, Founders Ministries stated,
“We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living.
The post continued,
“Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren.”

Founders Ministries ended its post with Psalm 116:15: “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.”
In February 2021, Baucham experienced “full-blown heart failure” before having a successful heart surgery in March 2021. It wasn’t until weeks later that doctors discovered another blockage that required Baucham to have quadruple bypass surgery.
Voddie Baucham’s Legacy
Voddie Baucham Jr rose to prominence in 1993 when he founded Voddie Baucham Ministries. He pastored Grace Family Baptist in Houston before serving as the dean of theology at African Christian University, which he also founded for nine years in Lusaka, Zambia.
Baucham was also a best-selling author and a faculty member of the Institute of Public Theology.
Voddie Baucham Jr leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Bridget Baucham, who has been his steadfast partner in ministry and homeschooling their large family.
56-year-old also leaves behind 9 children, Jasmine, Trey (Voddie 3rd), Elijah, Asher, Judah, Micah, Safya, Amos, and Simeon.
