In the motion, Kelly is claiming prosecutorial misconduct, conflicts of interest, pointing out that at least one former prosecutor from the original trial could be a witness.

Kelly is also claiming witness was tampering with legal mail that was stolen via inmate informants, and that a key witness, “Jane”, was coerced or financially influenced to switch her testimony.

The motion also claims there was a murder plot, overdose, and medical mistreatment to demonstrate deep-rooted bias and misconduct.

“This is not an R. Kelly production, Brindley wrote. “This is what they are doing to him as these words are being written.”

Kelly’s team is urging the court to appoint a replacement prosecutor from another DOJ district, arguing the urgent team is too compromised to proceed.
