Ciara is giving her take on dating red flags, and this one has people talking.

During an appearance on The Zeze Millz Show, the singer was asked about men who have “loads” of female friends.

Ciara didn’t exactly call it an automatic deal breaker, but she admitted it would make her concerned.

“I don’t trip about, like, a guy having friends, but if it’s a lot, I think that’s a little concerning,” she said before giving the situation a 7/10 on the red-flag scale.

Ciara later explained that the dynamics matter. She said she understands that some men naturally have close female friends and that people can have friendships through work and other parts of life.

But when a man is in a serious relationship, she believes there’s a difference between having female friends and having numerous women he talks to every single day.

“I think that when men are in serious relationships, they don’t have tons of female friends they talk to every day,” she explained, while adding that having acquaintances is different.

And honestly, this one has the internet divided.

Some people agree that boundaries become especially important once you’re in a committed relationship, whereas others believe a man having close female friends shouldn’t automatically be considered suspicious.

Ciara’s point seems to be less about having female friends and more about how those friendships operate inside a serious relationship.
