T.D. Jakes Says 44,000 Bots Targeted Him Amid Viral Diddy Allegations
T.D. Jakes speaks out about the rumors that tied him to Diddy’s legal troubles during his recent interview with John Hope Bryant. Jakes reveals that the Diddy allegations were part of a 44,000 AI-driven bot smear campaign.

T.D. Jake’s Says 44,000 Bots Targeted Him Amid Viral Diddy Allegations
In a viral video, Jake stated
“When the [rumors] first broke out it was 44,000 bots that were released on me, and for people who read swoops, who does investigation for NBC and other news outlets, discovered that 98% of them were all artificial intelligence-generated.” He added,
“The other thing that really proved to me, to Oprah, to Denzel, to all the people is that it’s everybody. We have got to stop getting our information from TikTok.”
He added,
“That’s kinda water under the bridge. If there were anything there, the FBI would have been all over it. It’s like when I had my health scare—within seconds, it was all over the world, you wouldn’t have to find it on Instagram or YouTube. You would find it on the 6 o’clock news.”

This isn’t the first time Jake’s addressed rumors.
Last month, Bishop T.D. Jakes sat down with Oprah Winfrey, who was also similarly accused of attending Diddy’s high-profile parties. Diddy, also known as ‘Puff Daddy’, was on trial at the time on charges related to sex trafficking, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy.

“I stopped by Puffy’s house for 30 minutes to say happy birthday to him during the day at two o’clock with staff people,” he said. As for rumors claiming he was linked to Combs romantically, he said: “I am almost 70 years old. What do I look like? I am a grandfather.”
In 2024, T.D. Jake suffered a health scare during a live broadcast while giving a sermon. His family later confirmed that he is doing fine and recovering.
Jakes has recently passed the Baton of his church leadership to his daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and son-in-law, Toure Roberts.
