Anthony Edwards is now facing a $14,000-a-month child support bill involving his son with Alexandria Desroches.

According to court documents reported by multiple outlets, the Minnesota Timberwolves star was ordered to pay $14,000 per month for his son, Amir, who was born in 2023.

The amount is significantly higher than the roughly $3,200 child support order that was recently associated with Ayesha Howard.

Court filings show Edwards’ monthly income was reported at nearly $4.8 million, including his NBA salary and endorsement earnings. Desroches’ monthly income was listed at about $1,016.

The court also ordered Edwards to maintain a $2.6 million life-insurance policy naming Desroches as the beneficiary and to contribute more than $21,000 toward her legal fees.

One of the biggest headlines surrounding the case is Edwards’ testimony that he has never met 3-year-old Amir in person and is not seeking to parent him.

At $14,000 per month, Edwards new obligation comes out to $168,000 per year in child support.

The new ruling adds another chapter to the NBA star’s ongoing child-support cases and leaves people talking about the realities of parenting, responsibility, and what happens when a celebrity’s income is taken into account in family court.
