If you’re familiar with music artist Tyrese, then you know he’s an open book who doesn’t mind being transparent about his personal life.

After reposting Halle Berry’s recent comments about not needing to be married to validate the love she has for her partner, Van Hunt, Tyrese opens up about his relationship and asks his girlfriend, Zellie, to be patient with him as they figure things out.

Tyrese Asks Girlfriend Zelie For Patience

“Fast and Furious’ actor has been dating Zelie since March 2021.

In an Instagram post, he wrote,

“2 for me…3 for her…Is the institution of marriage dead? Can we ever get to a place where we feel WHOLE in a relationship and feel like you are truly in love and HAVE your person without marrying them when marriage in itself has caused so much trauma and pain?

Is love really about THE RING and the dress and random speeches at weddings?? Or should a man/woman respect the traumas and financial BLOOD BATHS that one has experienced and allow them the space to figure it out?

I wanna make sure I’m being clear me and Zelie have been having a lot of conversations about marriage, divorce settling in figuring it out…

Tyrese continued, saying,

My anxiety has been my marriage coming up on five years is still I repeat still not officially finalized? Imagine that…every woman will get to a place or a man. It seems in his case where it’s I’m with you every day. I love you. I’ve loved you to a better view. I’ve been kind. I’ve been patient. I’ve been hurting. I’ve been everything. Let’s take that next step and make it official!!

There’s so many fear of the unknown, Halle Berry happens to be my sister and a good friend and we have been there for each other for years now with conversations and dialogue around divorces and child support and family courts and traumas that have been inflicted on us because of it!

If I’m being honest with you, there’s no one in the world who is more happy for Halle Berry than me because her GLOW is a GLOW that’s worth loving, nurturing, and protecting at all costs…Our beloved BLACK QUEEN has found her BLACK KING!!! I LOVE LOVE!

It’s really hard and very fragile, and UBER sensitive to have a conversation about getting married when we all look forward to the ultimate level of love and yet a chosen few of us have had love almost kill us…For he people out there that are lucky and love, and found their person and have been able to do it for years up one year.
