The engaged couple got baptized on Sunday, September 28, and announced it on Instagram, posting Joshua 24:15:

“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

More Behind Noah Lyles and Junelle Bromfield’s Faith & Relationship

The engaged couple met via social media in 2017, but initially remained friends after a first date ‘didn’t click’. However, the two reunited and began their romantic relationship in 2022.

During an interview with The Gleaner, Bromfield discussed her faith and personal testimony.

“Noah has always been a Christian, and he has been baptized before. I never been baptized before today because I wanted to do it when I was ready and not out of fear. Many times I have gone to the altar but never committed because I felt like I was doing it for the wrong reasons.”

Bromfield recalled that as a struggling high school student, her faith shaped her choices. She remembers finding and returning $4,000 in a wallet when she only had $50 for food.

“Since that day, so many people have made an impact on my life,” she said. Support from teachers, coaches, and even a bus driver helped her excel athletically and academically.

Bromfield added,

“And with everything I did leading up to where I am, I never needed because He (God) has always provided. That’s why I decided not just to accept Him verbally, but to get baptized.”

Junelle also stated,

“We have been going to church, praying, and trying to get closer to God because we wanted Him in the middle of our relationship.”

The engaged duo is a competitive force in the track and field world, with Junelle Bromfield competing for Jamaica and Noah Lyles for the United States.

We are excited to see what’s next for the couple who not only train and compete together, but now worship together as well.
