R&B singer Keith Sweat recently called out single modern women during his live performance at an unknown venue on June 9, 2025.

Keith Sweat Criticizes Modern Single Women For Not Cooking and Cleaning

Sweat, 63, criticized what he sees as a lack of traditional domestic habits and entitlement.

During his live performance, he said,

“Women today don’t wash or iron their men’s clothes like they used to. You gotta bring something to the table to get something from me.”

Keith Sweat was previously married to former Real Housewives of Atlanta Star Lisa Wu, with whom he shares two sons. Their divorce was finalized in 2002 and was a result of an “extremely tumultuous relationship.” A significant factor cited by the judge was evidence that Sweat had been violent towards his wife, though no evidence of violence towards their children was found. 

He’s currently single and has made it clear he expects more than just presence in a relationship.
