After more than a decade together, Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss and producer Todd Tucker have officially announced their divorce.

In a statement shared with the media, Burruss confirmed that the separation comes after “deep thought” and a “difficult and emotional” season.

On November 21, in an exclusive statement by People, Burruss stated,

“After deep thought and a lot of prayer, l’ve made the decision to move forward with a divorce. This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.”

“I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own growth. I’m grateful to everyone who supported us throughout the years, and l ask for privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.”

Burruss and Tucker met while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2011 and announced their engagement in January 2013. They tied the knot in April of 2014.

The pair share two children, Ace and Blaze, as well as having children from previous relationships. Tucker and Burruss also built multiple business ventures together throughout their marriage.

Despite the personal transition, Burruss is continuing forward with her entertainment and business commitments. She asked the public for privacy, grace, and understanding as she and Tucker navigate co-parenting and life after their marriage.
