The update comes after federal authorities arrested Arenas, 43, on Wednesday, July 30, for allegedly running an illegal gambling business from a mansion in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles. According to the indictment, this took place between September 2021 through July 2022.
According to authorities, Gilbert has one of his accomplices stage the property to find others to host the illegal high-stakes poker games and collect rent on his behalf.

Arenas is pleading not guilty, and the court released him on a pending trial after he paid a $50,000 bond.
Authorities are charging him with three federal crimes, including operating an illegal gambling house and making false statements to investigators.
The court has scheduled Gilbert Arenas’ trial for September 23, and if the jury convicts him of all charges, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
