Chrisean Rock Asks People To “Pray For Her” Instead Of Judging Her

After debuting her gospel song “Yahweh” at Faith City Church and a few days later on a live stream with Deshae Frost, Chrisean Rock became the target of criticism from both fans and the religious community. In a viral video, Chrisean asks that instead of judging her, to “pray for her.”

So, Chrisean performed her first gospel song, “Yahweh,” at her childhood church, Faith City, where she also shared her testimony.

In case you weren’t aware of who Chrisean Rock is, she gained fame through her involvement in reality TV shows “Baddies West”, “Baddies,” and “Chrisean & Blueface: Crazy in Love.”

Rock was incarcerated for 3 months after being previously charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute, as well as failure to have a tax stamp affixed to the drugs.

Chrisean was released in September 2024, a few days after her one-year-old, Chrisean Jr’s birthday. You can watch the video below.

Well, of course, being in transition with your faith is never easy. The path is paved with attacks and discouragement.

So, after Chrisean’s performance was released on social media, things got a little messy after a popular Christian YouTuber, Nick Jones, shared his opinion.

While his intentions might have been good, his clickbait title rubbed Chrisean the wrong way. His cover photo said,

“She’s just using God for money,” with the YouTube caption saying “Some Christians Are Sick And Tired Of Chrisean Rock After What She Just Did.” Chrisean saw this, of course, and responded.

CHRISEAN ASKS THE CHURCH TO PRAY FOR HER INSTEAD OF JUDGING HER

During a livestream with Deshae Frost, Chrisean didn’t hold back, saying,

“Idk why people mad at me for switching to gospel music. Like, y’all wasn’t mad when I was in the club, drinking….beating people up. And it hurts my feelings a little bit because y’all don’t know how vulnerable this moment is to expose my relationship with God.

As Deshae calms and reason with her, Chrisean tearfully continued saying

“He could have chosen better words, you know? Just be considerate of the next person, like you don’t know that caption could have really sent me back to feel like me broadcasting God is weird. It’s like some people with influences, I just encourage y’all to encourage the next person don’t judge them.

Chrisean’s final message was a direct request:

“Please, no judgment. If you have a platform, keep your opinions to yourselves.”

Nick Jones responded with an apology video. Though Chrisean hasn’t responded, I believe she’s genuinely trying and wants people to cut her some slack.

But, what are y’all’s thoughts? Drop them below.
