Chloe Bailey Says ‘Sinners’ Remind Her Of The Entertainment Industry

Actress and singer Chloe Bailey says Ryan Coogler’s latest film, ‘Sinners‘, hit differently, and it’s not just because of the vampires.

Chloe Bailey Shares Her Thoughts On Popular Film ‘Sinners’

During a TikTok Live, the singer revealed the film reminded her of the industry she’s in. When asked her thoughts about ‘Sinners’, she said, “Can I be honest? After watching the film, I cried for nearly an hour.

“It just reminds you so much of the industry, right? And it’s like you could have a gift, like he did with his guitar. And like they said, when he’s singing, he’s honoring his ancestors and uplifting, and all of that. But then it also attracts the not good. So it’s like, in order for him to be successful, the vampires were telling him he has to sell out.”

Bailey compared the vampires’ pressure to sell out to the real-life temptations in the entertainment industry. The film, unfortunately, reminded her of what she says is a daily reality.

“No matter how hard you work, no matter how good of a person you are, no matter how talented you are, sometimes that’s not enough to get you to the places that you need to be.”

Sinners is a 2025 American action horror film directed by Ryan Coogler that grossed over $300 million worldwide, placing it among the highest-earning original films of the past decade.
