On the “Chosen Journey Show”, Chilli explained that her faith journey led her to reconsider the traditional view of marriage, emphasizing a deeper understanding of commitment.

She stated,

Before reading the Bible all the way through, truly studying, I didn’t want to get married. Marriage seemed like torture and bondage to me. It was really scary to me.” I was like no, because I knew I would be the first one to get a divorce and have my lawyer on speed dial. I knew that God created marriage and was sure that it wasn’t for me.

She continued expressing how the Bible changed her perspective on marriage.

After reading, I said “Okay God. You already know how I am, I’m a little different. But if that’s what you want for me, then I want what you want for me.

Chilli Thomas and Matthew Lawrence have been together since 2022. She teased her fans with the exciting news that their marriage is coming soon.
