Though many people responded in her defense and felt it wasn’t a big deal, others believe Simone’s oversized grey blazer and short blue jean shorts were inappropriate for the event.
In a heartfelt post, she said,
“April’s weekend with women was so powerful. God showed up, and there was so much released in that room. There has been healing in Columbus 🤍Over 150 women showed up and we cried, laughed,d and shared our deepest traumas. I’m so proud of every woman who has shown up not only for herself, but for her children, her family & her community. When we heal and face our trauma, we can heal generations. We can and WILL heal others. This is a space where we strive to turn our pain into purpose and our trauma into testimony🙏 This is a space where we build community and sisterhood. No judgement, just freedom to be who you truly are.
Simone’s caption continues to read,
“I love women so much, man. I will never give up on women. I’ve been so hurt by so many women throughout my life, and I forgive every single one of them because I know they were hurt. Hurt people hurt people. We have to heal so we stop hurting ourselves and ultimately stop hurting each other. We have to start with accountability and letting God lead us the whole way.
Women are so beautiful. We are so gifted and talented, but you must release and be delivered from your past so you can propel forward into your purpose and go where God has intended for you to be. It’s time to move !! It’s time to change !! It’s time to heal and be set free!
